PU Foam insulator
PU is Polyurethane Foam or PU Foam which is a kind of Polyurethane in the features of loose polymer produced from Polyethers and diisocyanate such as TDI having water and catalyst such as Amine and Organotin resulting in the occurrence of Co2 to insert in the polymer during the polymerization. Sometimes, gas or other kinds of volatile materials are used as Blowing agent-now HCFC-141 is used) classified into 2 kinds:
1. Flexible Foam is produced from Polyoxipropylinediol used for making furniture, general cushion, armchairs, futons, carpet pads, oil leakage absorbers
2. Rigid Foam is produced from Polyethers gained from sorbitolmethylgluocide or sucrose causing the high degree of crossling. Then, the strength is higher than flexible foam. As it has high resistance to pressure, it is used for making the structure of the lightweight parts such as the body of the aircrafts and the ships, etc. Due to very low thermal conductivity, it is often used as the insulator for buildings, refrigerated product transporting trucks, parts of cars, refrigerators, and ice buckets. Moreover, it is also made as the components of the ships to float better. In the insulation industry, PU Foam in the Rigid Foam category is widely used to save the energy, for example, in the architect building being awarded as one of the best five energy-saving buildings of 2009, PU Foam insulator is used in conjunction with other methods. For the concrete roofs, PU foam insulator is also used. For the steel roofs, PU Foam in the type of self-extinguished to reduce noise. The doors and windows use ALUMINUM type for heat resistance with the ALUMINUM door.
PU Foam is injected to be molded with the glasses to prevent against heat and ultraviolet radiation. Outside the building, there should be the trees to reduce the amount of heat from the sunlight.
